George Azih, CEO and Founder

George Azih, CEO and Founder

A financial authority specializing in technical accounting and accounting research, George has served as an auditor for banks, insurance companies, and brokerage firms. Prior to LeaseQuery, he performed Accounting Research and Technical Accounting for a Fortune 500 company, where he specialized in lease accounting, sale-leaseback transactions, build-to-suit arrangements, debt restructurings (modifications and extinguishments), asset retirement obligations and purchase accounting. His previous experience also includes working as a Senior Auditor at a CPA firm, where he specialized in audits for financial institutions.

George is a leading expert on lease accounting. He has been quoted in Bloomberg multiple times and has spoken about lease accounting for numerous groups, including Georgia Society of CPAs, Institute of Managerial Accountants (IMA), Financial Executives International (FEI), Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), Corenet Global Summit, and the National Conference for the Accounting and Finance Women’s Association (AFWA).

A member of the American Institute of CPAs and Georgia Society of CPAs, George graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with a BS in Accounting.

Jennifer Booth, VP of Accounting

Jennifer Booth, VP of Accounting

Jennifer has deep expertise in technical accounting, having spent 16 years in audit and technical accounting and advisory at EY. During her tenure at EY, she assisted clients with their transition to the new lease standard, helping them interpret the standard, determine their accounting policies, and apply the standard to their lease arrangements. As a member of the EY Lease Expert Network, she served as one of the organization’s subject matter experts on lease accounting.

She also has experience providing accounting guidance on cloud computing arrangements. At EY, she presented technical training on leases and cloud computing. At LeaseQuery, she advises our in-house accountants on the more challenging aspects of lease accounting and works hand in hand with our developers to ensure that our software is best in class.

Jennifer is a graduate of Furman University, where she received a BA in accounting. As a CPA licensed in the state of Georgia, she is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs. She is also a member of the EY Alumni Network.

Chris Ramsey, CRO

Chris Ramsey, CRO

Chris brings over 15 years of experience in account management and sales leadership to LeaseQuery. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Chris continued to gain experience in the technology sector, working for Canvas Systems, Veeam Software, RES Software, and later serving as an advisor to BeaconGrid.

In addition to being a top producer and recipient of multiple President’s Club awards, Chris also founded Round 2 Technologies, a provider of eco-friendly electronic disposal services for Fortune 1000 clients, where he led the company to $1.9 million in sales in its first year.

As Chief Revenue Officer at LeaseQuery, Chris has grown the sales team from one individual to more than 30 since 2016, while leading LeaseQuery to 876% year-over-year revenue growth from 2016 to 2017 and 708% growth from 2017 to 2018.

Susan Echterhoff, Director of Human Resources

Susan Echterhoff, Director of Human Resources

Susan brings over 10 years of experience in talent acquisition and HR to LeaseQuery. She is a Georgia native and attended Georgia State University. Susan has extensive technology experience, having worked for N3, Canvas Systems, Corus360, The Centrics Group, and Salesfusion.

During her time at Salesfusion, she created the company’s talent acquisition strategy and implemented HR processes. Susan also assisted with transition efforts when Avnet acquired Canvas Systems.

Susan has overseen the successful hiring of over 90 employees at LeaseQuery, and is committed to ensuring an engaging company culture. When not immersed in talent acquisition, Susan can be found attempting to keep up with her 2-year-old son, cooking with her husband, or enjoying family and friends.

Brendan Kapsimalis, CTO

Brendan Kapsimalis, CTO

A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Software Engineering, Brendan has over 10 years of experience in software development and consulting. He is a former Senior Systems Web Developer for Graphic Packaging International where he led development teams to improve business process automation for the finance, human resources, and customer service departments.

In 2015, Brendan was nominated for a President’s Award for his leadership in developing an automated credit debit approval system. He also led a team to develop an inventory management system that is used in over 350 locations. Prior to that, he worked as an IT Consultant for Technology Consulting Associates and BlueWave Computing. Brendan has led the Technology team at LeaseQuery since 2013.

Joe Schab, COO

Joe Schab, COO

Joe brings a wealth of experience to the LeaseQuery team. A “serial operator,” Joe has spent most of his career helping companies transition from startups to full-fledged, high-growth entities. Prior to joining LeaseQuery, Joe served as president of Cardlytics (CDLX), the president of PlayOn Sports, and the Managing Director of LBi (now DigitasLBi).

In his role as Chief Operating Officer at LeaseQuery, Joe is responsible for the alignment and prioritizations of LeaseQuery’s investments and ensuring operational excellence across the company.

Joe has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University. He resides in Sandy Springs, GA with his wife and two children.

Jim Dooley, VP of Channels & Alliances

Jim Dooley, VP of Channels & Alliances

Jim brings a unique blend of sales, business, and marketing acumen to the LeaseQuery team. He has over 35 years of experience in the sales and marketing sectors and has worked for companies of all sizes from small organizations to large corporations.

Jim has served as a Senior Vice President of Sales – Americas for BeyondTrust, and has held executive positions with firms such as CoStar, Deloitte, Cox, and more. Additionally, Jim has conducted sales training and consulting around the world with customers like Oracle, Microsoft, McKesson, and Cisco.

During his career, he has been continuously recognized for hiring great teams of people, coaching them to success and exceeding his goals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Niagara University and is a CPA.

Kenny Stevens, Director of Sales

Kenny Stevens, Director of Sales

A graduate of North Carolina State University, Kenny has over 14 years of experience in sales and marketing. He has extensive experience in technology sales, having worked for NCR Corporation/Radiant Systems, Cloud Sherpas, NCC Group, AchieveIt, and QGenda. At QGenda, he led a team charged with revamping the company’s sales process, mentored Business Development Representatives, and developed an internal training and certification process from concept to execution.

During his time at Cloud Sherpas, he created the company’s Inside Sales Development Team. He has been recognized numerous times for his sales performance, having won the Rookie Award at NCC Group for earning the highest revenue, and the Results Awards at AchieveIt, which was based on both sales performance and input from his colleagues.

Russell Bowles, Director of Operations

Russell Bowles, Director of Operations

As the leader of our Operations and Implementation team, Russell has been with LeaseQuery from the start. He knows leases, lease accounting compliance, and the LeaseQuery software platform inside and out. While working on his degree from Georgia Tech, he learned the backend of our business by interfacing with our developers as we launched our initial software platform and helped design specifications for several key enhancements. He then progressed to client side activities which include organizing, reviewing and entering leases for our very first customers, along with providing training on the platform for clients who preferred to manage their leases themselves.

Russell now has overseen the successful onboarding of over 200 clients onto the LeaseQuery platform, and is committed to ensuring our clients have a smooth onboarding experience and the platform works as advertised. When not immersed in the world of lease accounting, Russell can be found on the golf course if the weather permits.  

Andrew Jones, General Counsel

Andrew Jones, General Counsel

As a former CPA and experienced practicing attorney, Andrew provides legal counsel from a commercial perspective, with a deeper understanding of our clients’ needs.

In addition to his experience auditing private and public companies as a CPA, Andrew brings nearly a decade of experience practicing law with Alston & Bird, a leading international law firm with over 800 lawyers; Deloitte, the largest professional services organization in the world; and Global Payments, an S&P 500 technology company traded on the NYSE with a market capitalization in excess of $15 billion. During this time, Andrew actively represented buy-side and sell-side clients with respect to software-related services and products as well as a wide variety of other professional services, including financial reporting-related services. In addition, he has served as securities counsel for large, publicly-traded companies like many of our clients.

Andrew graduated, summa cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law and holds a Masters in Accountancy and a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
