What is SaaS Spend and Why Accountants Should Care

Course Description

According to Gartner, software-related spend is expected to surpass $900 billion worldwide in 2023. While that’s a huge number, it’s not hard to believe considering the average organization subscribes to over 125 different software applications, totaling $1,040/employee annually. Unfortunately, anywhere from 25- 50% of this spend is wasted on provisioned licenses not regularly used by employees.

Join LeaseQuery accounting expert Rachel Reed and Lead Software Solutions Architect Stephen Hester as they walk through LeaseQuery’s newest accounting guide SaaS Spend Management for Accountants Explained: Why you should be tracking your company’s software subscriptions.

We will cover steps to take to build an effective SaaS cost optimization strategy and review how to understand the importance of controlling that spend for your organization. We will also discuss the benefits of implementing a SaaS spend management platform and point out key features to look for when researching solution options.

If you haven’t done so already, please download our guide to follow along throughout the workshop.
